Ulises Hadjis is a great personal friend of the Gopher editors. A maracucho with Greek roots, he is one of those singer-songwriters who make you forget all about how you hate singer-songwriters. No random medieval instruments, no hipster haircuts, no creepy angling at the lah-deez, just pretty mellow music. Last year Ulises launched his first album “Presente” for which his brother and Gopher illustrator Aquiles (this is not a nickname for all Gopher staffers, he actually is an illustrator) did the covers. We could talk about this all day and gush some more, but we fear you won’t get to the music if we disgust you too much. Also a dowload of some singles from the remix can be found here.

So in the event of the launch of his Remixes album, which is a re-issue of 2008’s “Presente” with a few remixes of his songs from “Presente” added in for new spice. We are unable to resist being the proud friends that we are and post some remixes for you. Also check out the music video for the original version of Lunes on the bottom of the post.

What's on the menu?

What's in this thing, you ask? Well, we've got images, and features, and interviews, and articles, and short bits, and long bits, video posts, sound posts, lists and series, the local, the worldly, the controversial, the inane, and sometimes, if you look closely, the not-fit-for-print (which, of course, we'll just print anyways). Mostly old stuff, and new stuff. You know... the usual.
